Castle Thunder

Two film clips using the same stock sound effect, Castle Thunder, are played in split or layered screen, coinciding at the point in the soundtrack where the sound effect has been used. Throughout, the viewer is in invited to spot the other apophenic parallels between the two narratives and displays, as Foley techniques clash with recordings from nature.

The Squid and the Whale follows two oceanic battles: a cartoon featuring a singing whale combined with a classic Cinerama Jules Verne adaptation.
